FAIRFAX, VA — Jim Harman and his event management company, EX2 Adventures, has been busy making another monkey very cranky! No, there is no need to call PETA! This “cranky monkey” has a entirely different kind of crank to grind when is comes to the EX2 Adventures Cranky Monkey Mountain Bike Racing Series. This three-race-event is back for round ten starting in Schaeffer Farms, Germantown, MD on August 5th, 2012, and will take mountain bike racers all over Northern Virginia before it is through!
There are just under 6 weeks until the start of the collegiate MTB season. The following schools are hosting an event as part of the collegiate schedule:
Sept 8-9 ASU
Sept 15-16 NCSU
Sept 22-23 VCU/W&M
Sept 29-30 VT
OCT 6-7 WVU (ACCC Conference Event)
Greetings to all George Mason Cycling Club enthusiasts! With the help of recreational and competition riders alike, we managed to pull together a “Student Organized” club for GMU Cyclists! As off 2-weeks ago, we put together the clubs mission, coerced a faculty advisor to sponsor us, had several students sign their life away (in blood! Muhahahaha! JK), and drafted an air-tight Constitution!! This makes the George Mason Cycling Club the real deal and ready to start invading the Fairfax Campus with two-wheeled gangs of caffeine-driven college students! Meanwhile, we are looking for students and alumni alike to join us on Facebook and at some of our future events included our kick-off meeting coming in November 2011!
The first round ideas for the George Mason Cycling Club jersey are in!
So far we have one design that is standing out. Please keep in mind that this is a draft. Conversations have already started on how the University’s name can be placed on the oblique sides under the arm, using just the Mason Star on the shoulder/sleeve areas, placing the website URL on the back collar, and having room for sponsors on both the front and back. But for now, here is the base design idea for consideration.
Please comment on here or Facebook about what you think. A revised version will be posted towards the end of the week following a look a possible compression shorts, jacket, and accessory ideas too!
